CMA Profile

Membership is open to any precast concrete manufacturer, provided certain quality-based criteria are met.

The Concrete Manufacturers Association (CMA) is the primary representative of the precast concrete industry. Now in its 44th year, it initiates standards in close cooperation with StanSA and collaborates with its members in developing new products and services.

Find a CMA Member

Members are encouraged to hold accredited product certification such as the relevant SANS standard or to manufacture to specifications laid down by the CMA.

Requrements include basic compliance with the Occupational, Health and Safety Act, a fully implemented quality management system, and applicable quality specifications based on random product analysis.

Products are tested on site with the manufacturer’s own calibrated equipment.

Qualifying members are issued with a certificate of compliance and are allowed to display the mark on their websites, documentation and products.

CMA Certification Services (Pty) Ltd is a Product Certification company that provides a platform to the concrete manufacturing industry for certification of precast concrete products.

Holders

Applications for non-accredited specifications are also allowed. Upon the receipt of such an application CMACS will invoke SANAS accreditation for the specific specification.

In order to lodge a complaint concerning a precast concrete unit bearing the CMA Certification Services mark of approval, please make use of the contact details and submit your complaint.

As guest speaker, Mr David Metelerkamp (Senior Economist, Industry Insight) addressed the delegates.  The topic of his presentation was "Provincial View of Active Construction".
